The traitor was captured by the Ukrainian military during the fighting near the village of Neskuchnoye in June 2023. Prior to the Russian invasion, the perpetrator served as head of the missile and artillery department of the Novotroitskoe border commandant’s office in the Donetsk region. This was reported in the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
However, in March last year, the border guard fled from his place of service to the village of Nikolskoye in the Mariupol region, where his relatives live. At that time, the settlement was controlled by Russian invaders. Russian special services and the military had a conversation with him, after which he agreed to join the so-called Ministry of Internal Affairs of the DPR.
Law enforcement officers established that the deserter fought against the Ukrainian Defense Forces. In particular, he occupied firing positions near Russian fortified areas and checkpoints, which were supposed to hold back the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Mariupol direction.
Recall that on August 17 in Kyiv, the SBU detained a Russian agent who was preparing a new rocket attack on the capital. The attacker, working for the Main Directorate of the General Staff from the Russian Federation, established the geolocation of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the region.
