So on the morning of August 19, agents working with Ukrainian military intelligence attacked a military airfield in Soltsy, Novgorod Region, Russia using drones. One Tu-22 M3 bomber was destroyed, two other aircraft were damaged.
And on the morning of August 21, in the Kaluga region of Russia at the Shaikovka airport, as a result of an attack by drones controlled by GUR saboteurs, two more Russian bombers were destroyed.
“These operations with drones were coordinated by the GUR and caused huge losses to the enemy in military aviation. And above all, such aircraft [речь о Ту-22 М3] they are no longer made in the aggressor country,” the source added to GUR.
It was also noted that these bombers carried out missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.
