In the Taurida direction, the invaders lost 232 soldiers in the past day (79 killed, 153 wounded). This was announced on the evening of Sunday, August 20, by the commander of the operational-strategic group of troops Tavria Alexander Tarnavsky in Telegram.
“In general, over the past day, the enemy attacked our positions 16 times and carried out 626 attacks, launched 15 air strikes. The artillery units of the Taurida Defense Forces completed 1,248 fire missions in the sun,” Tarnavsky said.
According to him, 27 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed. Specifically, 6 tanks, 6 AFVs, 8 artillery systems and mortars, 1 MLRS, 1 ATGM, 1 LNG, 1 UAV, 2 vehicles and 1 special equipment.
Also, 6 ammunition depots and 1 command and observation post were destroyed.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the directions of Melitopol and Berdyansk.
It will be remembered that the Defense Forces destroyed 460 Russian occupiers in one day. The total battle losses of the Russian army were approximately 257,470 soldiers.
