The countries promise to deliver F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine after fulfilling the conditions for such a transfer.
The Netherlands and Denmark are undertaking to deliver F-16 fighters to Ukraine after the conditions for such a transfer are met. This is what Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, August 20.
He recalled that in May, the Netherlands announced that it would train Ukrainian pilots to deploy on the F-16. At the same time, it is impossible to conduct training in the absence of fighters.
“That is, training requires the delivery of aircraft. Now we can announce that the Netherlands and Denmark are committed to the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine when the conditions for such a transfer are met,” said said Rutte.
Recall that the previous President Volodymyr Zelensky announced a positive decision on the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. After the training of our pilots and engineers, 42 aircraft will be delivered to Ukraine.
As you know, the United States officially approved the transfer of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine from Denmark and the Netherlands.
