This was reported today, August 19, in the Telegram channel of the Mariupol City Council.
It is noted that thanks to the Mariupol resistance, it was possible to obtain a list of murdered children in the Donetsk region for 2022.
Mariupol children went through registration in morgues in the temporarily occupied ones: Mariupol, Mangush and Novoazovsk. The data confirming the invaders are 101 Mariupol children who died in Mariupol during the ruthless bombardment of the city by Russian invaders, the city council notes.
It is noted that of the 101 children listed in the list of occupiers, 87 can be identified.
The obtained data allowed us to variate the number of children who died during the siege of Mariupol. A terrible figure – 147 kids. Unfortunately, we understand that this number may be higher, – said the mayor of the city Vadym Boychenko.
The City Council published a part of the received documents (in compliance with the terms of the law on the protection of personal data).
On every count, a terrible human tragedy. Some of this list was not even a year old,” the Mariupol City Council notes.
The Mayor of Mariupol noted that after collecting documents confirming this terrible fact, the city authorities will apply to law enforcement agencies in order to enter data on the crime committed into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations in order to bring them to criminal liability.
This is terrible information and the entire civilized world should know what a tragedy Russia has brought to Ukraine and our Ukrainian Mariupol. But the world should not only know, but together with us, ensure that every war criminal receives a fair punishment,” Boychenko notes.
