The drone hit the Russian air base Soltsy, located under the city of the same name in Russia’s Novgorod region. This was reported by Ukrainian war correspondent Andrey Tsaplienko and showed the relevant photos posted on Russian social networks on his Telegram channel on Saturday, August 19.
“The killers of peaceful Ukrainians, Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, are based there. One of the planes was damaged,” the journalist said.
He also added that after the attack on the Soltsy air base, “several Tu-22m3 aircraft were transferred” to the Olenyu air base.
As previously reported, on the night of August 18, it became known about the “arrival” at the Expocentre and explosions in one of the towers of Moscow City.
