The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, August 19, arrived on a working visit to Sweden. Many important meetings will take place here. This was stated in the message of the head of state on his Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian leader came to this country with the first lady. In Stockholm, Zelensky will meet with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, King Charles XVI and Queen Silvia, Speaker Andreas Norlen and leaders of parliamentary parties.
“Wide Ukrainian-Swedish dialogue. I personally thank Sweden for supporting our struggle for freedom and independence,” the president explained.
According to him, the priority task of the trip is to strengthen Ukrainian soldiers on the ground and in the air, develop bilateral cooperation, including the military-industrial complex, European integration of Ukraine and common security in the Euro-Atlantic space.
“Our full support for Sweden towards NATO. We are sure that together we guarantee reliable peace in the entire Baltic-Black Sea-Azov region,” Zelensky summed up.
It will be remembered that on Tuesday, August 15, the Swedish authorities announced the provision of the 13th package of military aid to Ukraine for a total of almost $314 million.
Earlier it became known that Sweden will create logistics centers near Ukraine, where military equipment will be serviced.
