Germany intends to move some MLRS to Ukraine – media

Germany plans to provide Ukraine with four multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) from Bundeswehr stocks. This was reported by the publication Tagesspiegel, citing sources on government boards.

We’re talking about the MLRS MARS II or MLRS-E-it’s a multiple launch rocket system built in Germany. This is a modernization of the American M270.

This MLRS is capable of firing at a distance of up to 84 km, and the entire salvo occurs in just 55 seconds.

It was noted that the deliveries will be carried out in close coordination with the United States, which will conduct training of Ukrainian military personnel in the use of these complexes.

Heavy weapons capable of hitting long -range targets will be provided in June.

It will be recalled that in the period from March 30 to May 26, only two shipments of arms from the federal government were provided by Germany to Ukraine. In particular, 3,000 anti-tank mines and another 1,600 specialized directional anti-tank mines were delivered in mid-May.
