The Ukrainian general informed his American colleague about the operational situation at the front and the plans of the defense forces for the near, medium and more distant future. He also informed Zaluzhny about the plans and probable actions of the occupying Russian army. The commander-in-chief announced this on August 17 in Telegram.
He also discussed with Milli the urgent need of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for shells, weapons, demining equipment, air defense and electronic warfare systems. Zaluzhny thanked the allies for the logistical assistance already provided.

Recall that on August 13, the Chief of the British Defense Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, arrived in Kyiv and met with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
