The director of a private railway company in Kyiv was notified of suspicion of embezzlement of funds for road repair. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It was noted that the utility company entered into an agreement with a private company to carry out repair work on a section of a public highway of national importance in the Kyiv region. During the planned work, the owner and director of the contractor entered inaccurate information about the amount of work performed and their quality in the official documentation.
As a result, the state budget caused damage in the amount of almost UAH 6.3 million. This fact was confirmed by the analysis.
The person involved is threatened with imprisonment for seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and with confiscation of property.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the capital utility company and the contractor were exposed to the theft of 4.7 million hryvnias for road repairs in the Solomensky district of Kyiv.
It will be remembered that the director of the Department of Housing and Communal Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration was informed on the suspicion of embezzlement of one million Hryvnias to restore the sidewalk.
