The US must formally approve the measure due to export regulations. The M270 system can hit targets at a distance of approximately 80 kilometers.

The UK has asked the US to sign a plan to send advanced medium-range missile systems to Ukraine within a few weeks. Politico writes about it, citing sources.

It was noted that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke to US President John Biden about the transfer of the US-made M270 multiple launch rocket system, after which a discussion took place between British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss and Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

The publication wrote that the US should officially approve this measure because of export regulations.

The M270 system can hit targets at a distance of approximately 80 kilometers.

Recall that the United States will transfer HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems to Ukraine, which are superior in accuracy and range to those used by the Russian army in Ukraine.

It was also reported that Germany plans to provide Ukraine with four multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) from Bundeswehr stocks.
