At the same time, in October, Ukraine must ensure the implementation of all agreed legislative and institutional measures.
Until October, Ukraine will not 100% fulfill all seven recommendations of the European Commission, but will ensure the implementation of all agreed legislative and institutional measures. This was said by the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“In October, we will not hear that we have 100% implemented all seven recommendations, because we are talking about the main changes in the country related to human rights, the deoligarchization process, which has also been one of the pillars of fundamental. democratic reforms… These are changes, which will be introduced over many years,” he said.
At the same time, Stefanyshina noted that in October Ukraine should ensure the implementation of all agreed legislative and institutional measures.
“And we hope that we will open the doors for a political solution,” insisted the Deputy Prime Minister.
Recall that at the end of June, the European Commission gave an oral assessment of Ukraine’s progress on the road to the European Union. The EC believes that Ukraine has fully complied with two of the seven conditions required to start membership negotiations, and that progress has been made on the remaining conditions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky called for the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, said that she supports the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s membership in the European Union in mid-December this year.
