Ukrzaliznytsia announced temporary changes in the schedule of several important trains for Ukrainians abroad.
Trains No. 89/90 Kyiv – Przemysl and No. 73/74 Kharkiv – Przemysl from September 7 to October 6 (departure from Kyiv and Kharkov) will be canceled.
From September 3, Ukrzaliznytsia will appoint a new train No. 119/120 Kyiv – Chelm. It will be the third daily train to the hugely popular Chełm.
This is a day train (no border crossing at night!), which will depart from Kiev at 06.28, arriving in Chelm at 17.27 (convenient connection with the Polish train IC 21100 Chelm 18:12 – Warsaw Vostochnaya 21:02).
Return departure from Chelm at 10.23 (transfer from train IC12100 Warsaw Vostochnaya 06.05 – Chelm 08.42), arrival in Kyiv at 22.45.
This flight is convenient for those who have flights from the Warsaw airport. Frederic Chopin after 23.00 or early in the morning (Cairo, Ostrava, Munich, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna).
On Fridays and Saturdays, during the “month of repairs” in Poland (that is, departures from Kyiv on September 7-8, 14-15, 21-22), only two Intercity + trains will continue to run:
- current No. 705/706 Kyiv – Przemysl;
- new number 707/708 Kyiv – Przemysl (departure from Kyiv 22.17, Przemysl 6.23, back from Przemysl at 11.15, arrival in Kyiv at 20.41).
On the indicated six days, trains No. 53/54 Kiev – Przemysl, No. 89/90 Kiev – Przemysl, No. 31/32 Zaporozhye – Przemysl, No. 35/36 Odessa – Przemysl, No. 73/74 Kharkov – Przemysl, No. 715/716 Kiev – Przemysl will be cancelled.
The schedule of repairs in September will also affect the timetable of trains No. 54 and No. 36.
No. 54 Przemysl – Kyiv will depart from Przemysl at 13:45 (instead of 20:28) and arrive in Kyiv at 05:34 (instead of 09:00).
No. 36 Przemysl – Odessa will depart at 13:45 (instead of 20:28) and arrive in Odessa at 08:10 in the morning.
Ukrzaliznytsia notes that, despite repairs near Przemysl, the number of seats offered by the railway to Poland in September will increase due to a new flight to Chelm (except for three weekend pairs).
Upon completion of the repair work in October, if the popularity of the third flight to Chelm is confirmed and its further approval, the number of “Polish” tickets will immediately increase by 10%.
Tickets for the Polish direction are sold 20 days in advance, a new date opens at 8.00 every morning (except for Warsaw, which “starts” separately at 9.00). Ukrzaliznytsia.
