Iran pushes Russian oil out of China – media

Bloomberg said China imported 1.5 million barrels of Iranian oil in August this year, a record in the past 10 years.

China has dramatically increased its purchases of oil from Iran. So, he replaced it with overpriced Russian oil, which is becoming more expensive and is now above the price set by Western countries. This was reported on Wednesday, August 16, by the Bloomberg news agency, citing Kpler data.

China imported 1.5 million barrels per day from Iran in August. This is a record volume for the last 10 years.

The demand for Iranian oil, compared to the period from January to July, grew more than one and a half times.

Traders told the media that they operate in the region, and the reason is in the price. In particular, Iranian oil is offered at a discount of $10 per barrel against Brent. It is cheaper than Russian.
