The new military aid package includes spare parts for anti-personnel combat vehicles that the Swedish side provided to Ukraine earlier. It also includes vehicles, contingency supplies and demining equipment that can be used for a limited time, worth just under $200 million, according to the Defense Department.
This is already the 13th Swedish military support package for Ukraine since the start of a full-scale invasion by the aggressor country Russia.
Sweden, which applied for NATO membership after Russia’s large-scale invasion in 2022, is one of the most active members of the coalition to provide Ukraine with weapons to counter Russian aggression.
