The President discussed, together with brigade commanders and battalion commanders, the most problematic issues of their units.
During a working trip to the Zaporozhye region, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the locations of brigades conducting offensive operations in the direction of Melitopol. This was reported by the press service of the head of state on Tuesday, August 15.
The President listened to the reports of the commanders about the progress of the battle in the front sectors in their area of responsibility, and together with the brigade commanders and battalion commanders discussed the most problematic issues of their units.
In particular, Zelensky met with Alexander Tarnavsky, commander of the operational-strategic grouping of Tavria. He visited the location of the 3rd operational brigade named after Colonel Petro Bolbochan of the National Guard, the 47th separate mechanized Magura brigade, the 117th separate mechanized brigade, the 15th operational brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine Lieutenant Bogdan Zavada NGU, the 116th separate mechanized brigade, as well as forward control posts of the 46th separate airmobile brigade of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 118th Motorized Brigade.
During the talks, the military noted the need for electronic warfare and front-line air defense systems to counter enemy aircraft and UAVs. There is also an ongoing demand for drones as they are rapidly proliferating in offensive operations.
Zelensky and the commanders of military formations discussed the issues of professional selection of people, providing brigades with special equipment and equipment, and the need for armored evacuation vehicles.
The President ordered to systematize the requests of the military, also taking into account the information revealed during the visit of Soledar UTC on Monday, to submit them for consideration by the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and transfer them to Ukraine’s foreign partners.
Remember, on August 14, Zelensky visited the headquarters of the brigades in Donbass. These units conduct offensive operations in the zone of responsibility of the Soledar operational-tactical group.
