“The L-39 training aircraft of the aviation regiment suffered an air cane during a planned training flight. It crashed inside the airport. There were no injuries or casualties on the ground,” informed the Russian Defense Ministry .
According to preliminary information, one of the crew died. The ministry added that the cause of the accident has been established.
Earlier, a Russian Su-30 fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region. The crew of two pilots were killed.
It will be recalled that in July, a MiG-31 fighter crashed in Russia’s Kamchatka Territory. He fell into the waters of Avacha Bay.
