This was stated by the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Naev in a conversation with RBC-Ukraine.
Route building is constantly changing. The enemy is trying to use drones taking into account the terrain. The complexity of the harm lies in the accurate prediction of UAV flight routes for timely response by mobile fire teams, since their detection has recently been carried out mainly acoustically (by the sound of the engine) and it is quite difficult to determine the direction of their flight at night, Naev said.
In the absence of visual contact, destroying an aerial target without knowing its exact position in the airspace is considered a difficult task.
Mostly there are complexes that independently detect air targets using radar, Naev said.
Regarding the threat of a second Russian offensive against Kyiv, he did not rule out such a possibility, but says that now it is “not backed up by forces and means.”
But that doesn’t mean it can’t happen in the future. Our intelligence constantly monitors the situation and timely brings information to the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commanders of the groups, the general noted.
Rakurs wrote earlier that Naev believes that in order to create the necessary forces and start offensive operations from Belarus, the Russians will need at least a month and a half.
He assured that so far there are no signs that the invaders are preparing for a ground offensive: “Enemy strike groups have not been exposed, which reduces the likelihood of surprise actions and a possible invasion in the near future. Information about the real plans of PIK mercenaries against Ukraine and partner countries is under control.”
