The more mine-clearing machines Ukraine has, the more specialized drones, the faster Ukrainians will feel safer in their own land.
Ukraine will receive a humanitarian aid package from Azerbaijan, which includes demining equipment. This was announced on Saturday, August 12, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video message.
“Azerbaijan is ready to provide a new package of humanitarian support, including demining equipment. This is also one of the main parts of our work with partners – demining,” the president said.
He noted that now 174,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory is potentially dangerous due to mines and ammunition.
“Ukraine also needs equipment from partners, and it is very important to create a production base in Ukraine so that we can clear our land of Russian mines. And this work must be completed not in a decade, but in years,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy .
He added that experts every day discover hundreds of explosive objects in the liberated territories.
Recall that Azerbaijan allocated $7.6 million for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
It was also reported that in December last year, Azerbaijan sent 45 power transformers and 50 generators to Ukraine worth over $800,000.
