Part of the Ukrainian troops retreated to more advantageous positions, the part continues to fight within the city, said the head of the Lugansk OVA.

Russian troops control 70% of Severodonetsk. This was announced on June 1 by the head of the military administration of the Lugansk region, Sergei Gaidai.

“The Russians control 70% of Severodonetsk. Part of the Ukrainian troops have retreated to more lucrative, pre-prepared positions. Another part continues to fight inside the city,” the governor said.

At the same time, according to him, Lisichansk is completely under the control of Ukraine.

Gaidai also stressed that all free communities in the Luhansk region continue to be demolished, so the evacuation is suspended.

So far, there is no way to deliver humanitarian supplies to Severodonetsk, but the hospital has adequate medical supplies, and humanitarian headquarters has food stocks.

“This may be enough for a certain time,” the head of OVA summed up.
