The German chancellor said that Berlin is now committed to the supply of weapons for air defense, as well as heavy artillery and tanks.
There are no new decisions regarding the transfer of Germany’s Taurus missiles to Ukraine. This is what Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in a debate on the German TV channel N-TV.
“I have nothing to report on this issue, because there is nothing new in this state. We are still focused on the supply of weapons for air defense, as well as heavy artillery, as well as tanks,” the head of The German government explained.
According to him, Berlin will continue to work with partners on additional military assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, the media reported that Ukraine will “definitely” receive Taurus missiles. The German Air Force has already given the “green light” for the supply of missiles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, sources said.
Later, the German FIA said that the German government was looking at the possibility of supplying Ukraine with long-range Taurus cruise missiles, but that they could be modified.
