This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
Employees of the DBR detained a former deputy of the Zhmerinsky city council in the Vinnytsia region from the pro-Russian party “OPZh” banned in Ukraine, who ordered the murder of another deputy of this local council. The detainee’s father is a former people’s deputy of the 7th convocation from the banned Party of Regions and an active member of the Zhmerinsky City Council from the banned Opposition Platform for Life, the report says.
Even at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, he left Ukraine and, in fact, does not fulfill his deputy duties. His business and political interests in the city and region are represented by his son. A few months ago, my father’s conflict with another deputy escalated amid the blocking of consideration by the local council of his personal and business issues related to the allotment of land plots for construction.
The son decided to “help” his father and tried to organize a contracted murder of another deputy – a member of the permanent land commission of the Zhmerinsky City Council. He promised to pay $8,500 for a contract killing.
As part of the special operation, the DBR imitated the murder of a local deputy and took staged photos.
Searches were carried out at the place of residence and vehicle of the detainee, as well as at the places of possible accomplices in the commission of the crime. Weapons, funds and other material evidence confirming the criminal intentions of the defendants were confiscated. The detainee was informed of the suspicion of organizing a completed attempted murder committed for mercenary motives by order (part 3 of article 27, part 2 of article 15, paragraphs 6, 11, part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
