In the engine room area, a large hole was formed in the water line. New footage of a Russian tanker has surfaced online.
A large hole was formed in the side of the Russian tanker SIG after the attack by surface drones. This is confirmed by the video, which on Thursday, August 10, was published by the OSINTdefender channel on Twitter.
“As a result of the defeat, a large hole was formed in the ship’s engine room right near the waterline,” the message said.
Depending on the internal damage, repairs to the ship could take “months” according to OSINTers.
Note that this tanker was built in 2014. She is under US sanctions, which she got as a result of delivering aviation fuel from the occupied Crimea to Syria.
