The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) and the National Bank of Poland (NBP) issue collectible coins into circulation Friendship and brotherhood are the greatest treasures from 999 silver for Independence Day of Ukraine. NBP reported it.
The total circulation of the sets is up to 10 thousand pieces. The set includes two coins of 10 hryvnia and 10 zloty. Their design creates a whole composition in the shape of a heart. Collected coins will be released on August 24th.
Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Taran worked on the creation of coins.
The weight of each coin is 31.1 g. Half of the sets will be sold in Poland, the other half – in Ukraine.
In Poland, coins can be purchased at the cash desks of regional branches of the National Bank and in the online store Collector. In Ukraine, they will be distributed through official distributor banks and through the NBU online store.
Poland plans to transfer funds from the sale of collectible coins in the form of non-refundable humanitarian financial aid to Ukraine.
It was noted that the issue of coins is the second joint initiative of the NBU and the NBP. The first was in 2012 on the occasion of the final European Championship in Ukraine and Poland, then banks issued silver collectible coins in the form of a set.
