Government representatives and industry leaders from around the world will be invited to attend the conference.
The UK will host an energy security conference in the spring of 2024. It was reported on the British government website.
It was noted that the forum will bring together representatives of countries from around the world to ensure the supply of critical energy resources and “make the system more resilient to shocks.”
The UK government believes that the war in Ukraine, as well as other historical upheavals such as the oil crisis of the 1970s, show how interconnected global energy security and critical supply chains are, whose disruption harms buyers all over the world.
“To prevent this from happening again, the UK is convening this new conference to strengthen international cooperation and build global resilience to these shocks,” the statement said.
Government representatives and industry leaders from around the world will be invited to attend the conference.
