This was announced today, August 9, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
It is noted that the attacker, a resident of the village of Vrublovsky, Lugansk region, entered the “2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the LPR” in November 2019. In the ranks of the terrorists, he became a “binder”, received military equipment and small arms firearms. During his service, he guarded a military unit, served military vehicles and carried out orders to strengthen the defense capability of the LPR.
In September 2021, he was appointed “a sapper of a separate engineering and sapper company of the 2nd AK of the people’s militia of the LPR.”
From the beginning of the invasion of the Russian Federation, the convict, as part of the occupation forces of the aggressor state, carried out the tasks of mining Ukrainian positions in Luhansk and Donbass, the Office of the Prosecutor General notes. – At the end of May 2023, he was detained near the Seversky Bakhmutsky district.
The court found the LPR fighter guilty of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, participation in the activities of armed groups not provided for by law (part 2 of article 110, part 2 of article 260 of the Criminal Code).
