Radio Liberty published a corresponding satellite image taken on 8 August.
The ship was towed for repairs to a floating dock in the port of Novorossiysk.
“Olenegorsk Miner” can not perform combat missions, The Washington Post reported earlier.
A source in Ukrainian intelligence told the publication that the maritime drone that struck the Russian SIG tanker was carrying 450 kg of explosives. The tanker weighs about 5 thousand tons, and after being hit by a naval drone, it began to sink.
So far, nothing is known about the final damage to the tanker, as well as where it is now. According to a photo published this morning, it has serious damage to the engine compartment and control units.
Recall that at dawn on August 4, Ukraine attacked the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk with surface drones. The landing ship “Olenegorsk Miner” suffered the most. On the night of August 5, the SBU, together with the Navy, blew up the SIG tanker.
