The first group of Ukrainian pilots has been determined to take part in training American F-16 fighters. It includes eight pilots.

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, approved the training of the Ukrainian military with American F-16 fighters. The study process should be led by Denmark and the Netherlands. This was announced on Tuesday, August 8, by Deputy Pentagon Speaker Sabrina Singh, as quoted by Ukrinform.

“President Biden gave the green light to allow and support the training process. As you know, the training process of Ukrainian F-16 fighter pilots is led by Denmark and the Netherlands,” he said.

At the same time, he noted that so far there is no official statement from the American side about the details of the upcoming training.

Recall that the media previously reported that the US administration has not yet received from its European partners the final plan for the training of Ukrainian pilots in F-16 fighters and therefore cannot confirm the transfer of equipment required for this.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said training of Ukrainian pilots with American F-16 fighters will begin this month.
