The Russian military is firing on many cities and villages in Ukraine with their missiles, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said.
Many of Russia’s missile attacks on Ukrainian territory were not the result of poor Ukrainian air defense, but because of the number of missiles fired by the Russians. This was announced on Tuesday, May 31, by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, Ukrinform wrote.
“Ukraine’s air defense is not weak. However, the air defense does not keep pace with the number of missiles launched by the occupiers,” the NSDC secretary said.
He stressed that the Russians were firing on many cities and villages in Ukraine with their missiles, and therefore “the whole of Ukraine must be defended.”
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council noted that the Ukrainian air defense could be better, but for this “it is necessary to work from the moment independence is declared.”
