On July 3, the press service of the Zaporozhye Regional Council reported to the Public.
Recall that the native of Melitopol never hid his pro-Russian views: he repeated the Kremlin’s narratives on the air, noted the need for cooperation between Ukraine and Russia, and staged various provocations on May 9.
Therefore, it is not surprising that after a full-scale invasion, the deputy of the regional council enthusiastically agreed to head the occupying “Military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region.”
It was possible to deprive Balytsky of his powers earlier – at the session of the regional council, but the deputies were not gathered on this score.
Earlier, the Ministry of Reintegration called for the mandate of the deputy of the regional council to be taken away from the “Gauleiter” of the Zaporozhye region.
Balitsky was a member of the Party of Regions, then joined the opposition bloc. Both parties are now banned for being pro-Russian.
According to the investigation, the collaborator was involved in organizing a local pseudo-referendum on the “attachment” of the Zaporozhye region to Russia. Under his leadership, illegal election commissions were created, in which the voting results were falsified in favor of the aggressor country.
After the fake plebiscite, Balitsky turned to the President of Russia with a request to “recognize” the region as a new subject of the Russian Federation. On September 30, 2022, at a “ceremonial” event in the Kremlin, it was this monster who signed the illegal “agreement on the entry” of the Zaporozhye region into Russia.
