General Staff: The enemy focused its efforts on Severodonetsk

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published operational information about the Russian military aggression on the morning of May 31.

In the direction of Volyn and Polesye, the threat of missile and air strikes remains from the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

At the direction of Seversky, the troops of the Russian Federation did not conduct active operations, they fired on communities in the border regions of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

In the direction of Slobozhansky, the enemy continued to prepare for the offensive.

He did not conduct active operations in the direction of Kharkiv, firing on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Terny, Lozovaya, Protopopovka, Rudnevo, Sokolovka and other communities.

In the direction of Slavyansk, the main enemy efforts were focused on handling occupied lines and supply routes, as well as on creating conditions for a further offensive. Civilian infrastructures in the areas of Dovgenkiy, Vernopolye, Grushevakha and Bolshaya Kamyshevakha have undergone shelling.

“There was an attempt to invade the settlement area Dovgenkoe, the enemy had no success, retreated to the previously occupied positions,” said the General Staff.

In the direction of Donetsk, the occupiers fired at units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from mortars, cannon artillery, several rocket launching systems. The main enemy effort was focused on establishing control over Severodonetsk.

In the direction of Liman, the enemy regroups and prepares for an offensive.

“I tried to check routes for further development in the Liman settlement area, suffered losses, retreated,” specified the Ukrainian military leadership.

In the direction of Severodonetsk, fighting and attacks continue in the areas of the Severodonetsk and Toshkovka communities.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy conducted unsuccessful combat operations and attacks in the areas of Zolote, Kamyshevakhi, Nyrkovo, Berestovoye, Pokrovsky, Dolomitnoe.

Under the direction of Avdeevsky, Kurakhovsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporizhzhya, Russian troops were trying to strengthen the grouping and compensate for losses using outdated and restored equipment. Air strikes were carried out on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Malaya Tokmachka and Novoandreevka.

In the direction of Yuzhnobuzhsky, the enemy did not conduct an active battle, firing on Aleksandrovka, Pribuzhskoye, Posad-Pokrovskoye, Novogrigorovka, Osokorovka, Knyazevka and Trudolyubovka.

In the Bessarabian direction, on the territory of the Transnistrian region of Moldova, there were no significant changes in the activities and position of the operational group of Russian troops.

The main efforts of the Black Sea Fleet ship groups of the Russian Federation in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas are focused on intercepting civilian navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

The other day, Air Force aviation delivered fire strikes to individual enemy units in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions. Anti-aircraft missile troops fired a Kh-22 cruise missile in the Odessa region.

In the past 24 hours, eight enemy attacks have been repulsed in the direction of Donetsk and Luhansk, one tank, four artillery systems, five armored combat vehicles and two vehicles have been destroyed. Air defense units fired a Kh-59MK cruise missile.

Recall, on May 30, the Russian Federation lost 30,350 soldiers, 1,349 tanks, 207 aircraft and 174 helicopters to Ukraine.
