Ukraine’s counteroffensive against Russian forces is hampered by landmines and other obstacles, but Ukrainian forces are right to proceed cautiously, said NATO Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer. He is quoted by Reuters.
A counteroffensive is hard,” Bauer said.
According to him, the Ukrainian military is doing the right thing, that they are careful to avoid heavy losses when looking for possible directions for breaking through Russian defenses.
This is a very complex operation and I think the way they are doing it is commendable,” he said.
