494 children were victims of full-scale Russian invasion – Prosecutor General’s Office

    In Ukraine, 494 children have already died and more than 1,360 have been injured of varying degrees of severity as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion.

    This was announced today, July 2, by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General, citing data from juvenile prosecutors.

    These figures are not final. Work continues to install them in places of warfare, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories, the department notes.

    Children in the following regions suffered the most:

    • Donetsk region – 472;
    • Kharkiv region – 285;
    • Kyiv region – 129;
    • Kherson region – 113;
    • Zaporozhye region – 91;
    • Mykolaiv region – 89;
    • Dnepropetrovsk region – 83;
    • Chernihiv region – 71;
    • Lugansk region – 67.

    In particular, on July 1, a 14-year-old boy was injured as a result of enemy shelling of the city of Balakliya, Kharkiv region.
