Draft Law No. 9051 proposes for the period of martial law and within 30 days after it, to provide for mandatory restructuring of consumer loans for citizens registered as internally displaced persons, permanently residing or leaving the territory where hostilities are (were) conducted or occupied by the Russian Federation , and have no arrears as of February 24, 2022.
Usually, the payment of these percentages by persons living in or leaving especially war-affected territories is excessive or impossible for consumers who find themselves in difficult circumstances, the explanatory note of the bill notes.
Bill No. 9052 provides for amendments to clause 165.1 of Art. 165 of the Tax Code on the peculiarities of calculating interest on consumer loans during martial law.
The parliament voted for these bills on 10 June.
