Against the background of information about the redeployment of Wagner mercenaries to the territory of Belarus, it is observed at an abandoned military base 21 km from the town of Osipovichi and 100 km from Minsk. The 465 missile brigade of Belarus was once located at this base, but in 2018 it was redeployed. Now “Wagnerites” can be accommodated here. This is reported by BBC Verify.
The media released satellite imagery from June 30 showing a row of rectangular tent-like structures. A photo from June 15 shows that this area was almost empty.
Meanwhile, the Belarusian Gayun project has calculated that there are 298 M-30 tents in the picture, each of which can accommodate up to 30 people on average. Thus, places for 8,940 people have been arranged at the base. However, not all tents are designed for housing because there are places for food blocks, showers and toilets.
In addition, the picture shows equipped fortifications in the northern part of the former military unit. At the same time, no construction or military equipment was seen in the picture, writes Gayun.
Recall that on June 30, the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief instructed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny and the commander of the “North” Sergey Naev to “strengthen” the northern direction of defense of Ukraine.
Naev stressed that there is no threat of an offensive by ground forces from the territory of Belarus now.
