The new US Ambassador to Ukraine arrives in Kyiv

Brink was appointed by U.S. President Joe Biden on April 25 and fully confirmed by the U.S. Senate on May 18.

The new US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink arrived in Kyiv on May 29. This was reported on the website of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

It was noted that Brink was appointed to the post of U.S. President Joe Biden on April 25, which was unanimously approved by the U.S. Senate on May 18.

Previously, Brink was the U.S. ambassador to Slovakia. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs of the State Department (2015-2018), with responsibility for matters related to Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and European conflicts. He also served as Deputy Chief of Mission at U.S. Embassies in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (2014-2015) and Tbilisi, Georgia (2011-2014).

As reported, the new US ambassador may arrive in Ukraine in June.
