Rafael Grossi believes that additional measures are needed to stabilize the water level in the cooling unit.

Stabilizing the water level in the cooling pond of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) requires additional measures. This is what the Director General of the IAEA Rafael Grossi said in an interview with the French TV channel France24 on Friday, June 30th.

“On the one hand, when I was (in ZNPP, – ed.), you will see that the first steps have been taken by the plant managers to conserve the amount of water in the cooling pond. However, it is clear that this will not be enough in the medium and long term. Therefore, additional steps need to be taken. This is what I discussed there (in ZNPP, – ed.),” he said.

According to him, now the situation is very volatile because the ZNPP is located on the front line.

Recall that the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that the invaders are reducing their presence on the territory of the ZNPP.
