Paris (AP) – A man who appeared to be disguised as an old woman in a wheelchair threw a protective glass cake from the Mona Lisa at the Louvre Museum and shouted at people to imagine a planet on Earth.
Videos posted on social media show the arrival of a young man wearing a wig and lipstick in a wheelchair. The man, whose identity is not known, was also seen throwing roses at the museum gallery on Sunday.
The cake attack left a creamy white stain on the glass, but Leonardo da Vinci’s famous work was not damaged.
Security guards videotaped an activist wearing a wig waving as she shouted at startled visitors to the gallery: “Imagine the earth. There are people destroying the earth. Think about it. Artists tell you: imagine the earth. So I did it. “
It seemed silly to me, but a man dressed as an old woman jumped out of a wheelchair and tried to break a bulletproof Mona Lisa glass. Then continue pouring the cake into the glass and throwing roses everywhere until he is challenged by the guards. ??? pic.twitter.com/OFXdx9eWcM

The guards then filmed how they cleaned the burr from the cup. Louvre officials were not immediately available for comment.
The 16th-century Renaissance masterpiece has previously been targeted.
The painting was stolen by museum staff in 1911, increasing the popularity of international painting.
It was also damaged by an acid attack by a vandal in the 1950s and has been stored behind glass ever since.
In 2009, a Russian woman became angry because she could not get French citizenship and threw her a ceramic mug, breaking the mug but not damaging the glass or the painting.
