We are talking about 26 gas companies in the region, which were previously transferred to the management of the National Agency of Ukraine for the identification, search and management of assets obtained from corruption and other crimes.
The Cabinet of Ministers handed over to the state company Chornomornaftogaz (managed by NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine) the seized assets. We are talking about 26 regional gas companies of oligarch Dmitry Firtash. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine in connection with the order dated May 28, 2022 No. 429-r.
The list of assets was not published, but the government reported that 26 regional gas companies had been arrested.
According to the document, the assets are transferred from the National Agency for the Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) at the suggestion of the Ministry of Energy and ARMA.
The order directed Chernomorneftegaz, the Ministry of Energy and the NEURC “to take all effective measures aimed at preventing the risk of failure and / or disruption in the operation of assets, which could lead to emergencies.”
Recall that earlier, at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation, the investigating judge of the Pechersk Court of Kyiv transferred the arrested private rights of the corporation to 26 regional and city gas distribution system operators to the National Agency of Ukraine for Detection, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA). Now the state will control the supply of natural gas to consumers. This is an important issue of national security, especially in the face of Russia’s aggression.
