The logistical support of the Russian occupiers in the Zaporozhye region was complicated due to the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the bridges in Chongar connecting the occupied Crimea and the left bank of the Kherson region.

These three bridges serve one of the two main supply routes for the Russian invader troops between Crimea and Kherson region. Their destruction forced the invaders to quickly build pontoon crossings. This was announced on June 28 by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter, referring to intelligence data.
The route through the Chongarsky bridges is the most direct route from the Crimean logistics hub of Russia in Dzhankoy and in the Zaporozhye sector, where Russia is defending itself from the main offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the British emphasized.
The report notes that Russian convoys took at least 50% more time to reach the front through alternative routes. At the same time, it is likely that the crossing is limited only to military transport. However, the fact that the Russians built the crossing so quickly shows that this route is vital for the invaders.
Recall, on June 25, it became known that the bridge in Chongar, through which 70% of the Crimean traffic passed, after a missile attack inflicted on it by the Ukrainian military, was closed to cars.
