Chinese Ambassador to the European Union Fu Cong said he sees no reason not to support Kyiv’s goal of regaining control of all its territories, including Crimea. The Chinese diplomat noted that Beijing respects the territorial integrity of all states.

Al Jazeera writes about this on June 27.

The Chinese ambassador indicated that he saw no reason not to support Kyiv’s goal of reaching the brink of 1991.

I don’t understand why not… As I said, these are historical issues that should be discussed and resolved by Russia and Ukraine, and this is what we stand for,” Fu Cong told reporters.

Al Jazeera writes that, with the exception of Fu Cong, Chinese officials generally refrain from commenting publicly on Russia’s annexation of Ukrainian territories.
