The first batch of these 14 combat vehicles should be delivered to Ukraine in January 2024, while others should arrive during 2024, tagesschau.de reports on June 27.
Rheinmetall has announced that the order is valued at three-digit million euros.
The publication also writes that a corresponding agreement has been reached with the federal government.
In April, the Netherlands and Denmark already announced a joint acquisition of tanks: the first of 14 main battle tanks is to be delivered to Ukraine in January 2024, and the rest during 2024. This is an obsolete Leopard 2A4 that Rheinmetall has taken over from previous stocks in various user states.
