Dmitry Lubinets is convinced that there are thousands of illegally adopted Ukrainian children in the Russian Federation and the occupied territories, but so far there are confirmed data on 365 illegal adoptions.
Ukraine has official data on 365 illegal adoptions of Ukrainian children in Russia. Dmitry Lubinets, Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada, said this in an interview with ISLND TV.
“I can say this publicly – I don’t know how many Ukrainian children were adopted by Russian families. But I can say that so far, we have officially recorded 365 illegal adoptions of Ukrainian children. Here we saw the official confirmation – through the Mass media, our communication channels. But… there are thousands of them,” said the Ombudsman.
Lubinets claims that there are such children both on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
“We are doing everything to get information. And the Russian side continues to do it in such a way as to simply cut off these channels and so that we do not receive anything. That side does not give us any information,” asserted the Ombudsman.
It was previously reported that Russia is changing the names and birth dates of illegally deported Ukrainian children.
