The human rights organization Media Initiative for Human Rights confirmed the deaths of Tigran Hovhannisyan and Nikita Khanganov from Berdyansk. It is known that the guys were killed by sniper shots.

This was stated by human rights activist Olga Reshetilova.
No one knows how it happened and what was happening at that moment. Today we learned that the guys were killed by sniper shots. Nikita was shot in the head, and Tigran was shot in the heart. That is, the occupation police did not even try to somehow save the lives of the guys, – said the co-founder of the Media Initiative for Human Rights on the air of Radio Liberty.
Reshetilova believes that the occupying authorities are trying to “hang” on the dead crimes that they did not commit. She also recalled that the murder of Hovhannisyan and Khanganov was preceded by a six-month persecution.
The occupation authorities of Berdyansk claim that their murder allegedly took place as a result of an attack on “policemen” by Tigran and Nikita. Information from open sources and MIHR’s own sources confirm that there really was a shootout in Berdyansk on the evening of June 24. However, so far we have not found any evidence of casualties among civilians, which the occupiers emphasize. This incident requires additional investigation and clarification of all circumstances, human rights activists say.
Reshetilova says that “there are still a lot of unknown circumstances in this story in order to draw unambiguous conclusions.”
The story began in September last year, when “investigators” kidnapped Tigran from his home and brutally tortured him for five days. Investigators of the Investigative Committee were preparing a case for trial, accusing Nikita and Tigran of preparing a sabotage.
After that, the charges were divided between the guys. Nikita was to be accused of theft, and Tigran of sabotage. A few days ago, an investigator with an armed escort came for the guys, but they managed to escape.
On this day, before the murder, the guys distinguished themselves in the occupation police. Half an hour before the investigator called his parents that the children had been killed, Tigran’s mother talked to him. Tigran was calm, saying that they were walking with Nikita and thinking about how to celebrate Nikita’s birthday. Nikita should have turned 17 today.
There are many disagreements in facts, time, dress. The parents have not yet seen the children’s bodies. And relatives have been tortured with interrogations and searches since yesterday evening. This gives reason to question the main version of the investigator about the attack on the police. At least the parents of Tigran and Nikita believe that this whole shootout, the suicide video, is a production in order to kill the guys.
Ukrainian investigative authorities opened criminal proceedings on the fact of the murder of children. Ukrainian human rights activists are cooperating with the investigation and providing all the information we have.
But MIHR will conduct its own detailed investigation into the circumstances of the murder.
