According to the NABU, the individuals made persistent requests to a local businessman and volunteer to provide a total of more than UAH 2.4 million for signing acts of completed work on the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the utility company of the Ternopil Regional Council, as well as for paying the debt of the Ternopil OVA to LLC for work already completed and accepted in 2022.
Such illegal actions of officials were committed despite the fact that the businessman was engaged in volunteer activities and helped the Defense Forces of Ukraine in every possible way.
On the evening of June 26, NABU published an operational video of the investigation.
The chairman of the Ternopil Regional Council and two deputy chairmen of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration were detained “hot” immediately after they received part of the agreed funds, namely more than 600 thousand UAH.
Recall that NABU detained the head of the Ternopil Regional Council Golovko.
The case is being investigated on the fact of the likely receipt of unlawful benefits (part 4 of article 368 of the Criminal Code). Together with him, two deputy heads of the Ternopil regional military administration, Igor Demyanchuk (first deputy) and Igor Gaiduk, were detained.
According to the investigation, the detainees made stubborn requests to a local businessman and volunteer to provide almost UAH 1.8 million for signing acts of completed work on the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by the utility company of the Ternopil Regional Council and payment of the debt of the capital construction department of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration LLC, for the work already completed and accepted in 2022.
