NRA chief executive Wayne Lapierre was directly trolled at the NRA convention in Houston when some of his biggest supporters looked on.
Not everyone sees what’s going on with the makeup of Good Liars, like progressive pranksters Jason Selwig and Davram Stifler.
Selvig sat down at a meeting of NRA members on Saturday, where members could talk about the pros and cons of the various problems facing the weapons group, and presented what at first glance the seeming defense of Lapierre.
It soon became uncomfortable for Lapierre, as Selvig broke a long list of mass shootings, then teasingly praised him for offering “thoughts and prayers” to each.
Not everyone accepted sarcasm. When Selvig finished speaking, many in the room shouted:
We spoke directly with Wayne Lapierre about the NRA convention and we thanked him for all his thoughts and prayers. pic.twitter.com/EfdDrgD4Af

Lapierre came under increasing criticism, and not just from those opposed to the NRA agenda. Former Chief of Staff Joshua Smith said in 2020 that the organization, led by Lapierre, was “full of fraud and corruption”.
