The UN Secretary General is following the events taking place in Russia “with concern” and called on the parties to take responsible actions.

The day after the completion of the coup attempt in the Russian Federation, UN Secretary General António Guterres called on “all those involved” to act responsibly. This was announced on Sunday, June 25, by the Deputy Spokesperson of the UN Secretary General Farhan Haq.

According to him, Guterres monitors the events taking place in Russia.

“He is aware of the latest reports about de-escalation measures. The Secretary General urges all those involved to continue to act responsibly and avoid further tension,” Haq said.

Recall that PMC leader Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin staged a military coup. Columns of “Wagnerites” moved to Moscow. But after negotiations with the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, he returned the units to the field camps. And the Kremlin promised to drop the criminal case against Prigozhin.

The State Duma of the Russian Federation sees no reason to ban PMC Wagner
