The situation in the ZNPP, the course of the conflict, preparations for the NATO summit and an attempted rebellion in the Russian Federation were topics of conversation among the leaders of Canada, the United States and Poland.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that on Sunday, June 25, he had a series of international talks – with US President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and the President of Poland that Andrzej Duda. Zelensky spoke about this on Telegram.
Among other things, he drew attention to the threatening situation created by the occupying forces at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
“The world’s inadequate reaction to Russia’s weakening of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and the attempt to blow up the dam in the Krivoy Rog reservoir allowed the invaders to prepare a terrorist attack with a radiation leak at the ZNPP. Ukraine’s partners must show a principled reaction, especially, at the Vilnius NATO summit,” said Zelensky.
Zelensky also spoke about the current situation on the battlefield and shared Ukrainian assessments of the attempted rebellion against Russia and the impact of this situation on the course of the conflict.
Speaking about international talks in his evening video message to Ukrainians, Zelensky reminded that there are only 15 days left before the start of the NATO summit in Vilnius.
“We are doing everything so that the summit has real content. Strong content. Positive solutions for Ukraine in Vilnius are the only possible positive solutions for our common security in Europe and the Alliance as a whole,” said the president .
According to him, during talks with foreign leaders, the positions were agreed upon on the eve of the Vilnius NATO summit and other international events.
It was previously reported that Zelensky discussed with Biden the course of the conflict and the processes taking place in Russia.
