Before a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russians were preparing a rebellion in Ukrainian prisons.

Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Elena Vysotskaya spoke about this in an interview with journalist Ramina Eshakzai, UNN reports.
Before the invasion, Russia was planning and preparing such an action as undermining our prison system. They wanted to arrange riots within the system, at the same time as a full-scale invasion, when the management link was shaken, Vysotskaya noted.
However, the Russian operation failed – the prisoners did not react to Russian provocations.
Our convicted prisoners surprised me with their patriotism. And I am grateful to them for this position,” she stressed.
Vysotskaya noted that prisoners may be dissatisfied with the work of the law enforcement system and complain about it.
But the fact that they did not blow it up from the inside, they also started to write letters of resignation later, because they want to defend the country – this should be noted, – she added.
The official notes that it is difficult to predict the consequences of undermining the Ukrainian prison system.
If at that moment everything inside the system had been shaken, it would have been another front. And if riots began throughout the country, we must distract the National Guard and other forces in order to work in order to streamline the work of prison institutions, Vysotskaya specified.
