This is stated in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
The GUR recalled that after Prigozhin’s demarche and the start of the Wagner PIK movement towards the capital of the occupying country, a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime was declared in a number of regions of Russia. In this regard, the security forces received permission to:
- Listening to any conversations and checking correspondence;
- Carrying out arrests and searches without additional approvals;
- Forced access to private and office premises;
- use of road transport of citizens and organizations;
- disconnection of all types of communication;
- “Removal of individuals from areas of terrain and objects.”
Currently, Moscow is practically isolated by the forces of police and military units. There are reinforced patrols at every intersection and exit from the city.
Freight and postal transportations have been suspended. There is a massive maintenance of vehicles with an emphasis on large closed vans. The movement of civil and official vehicles along the M4 Don federal highway has been practically stopped.
Earlier, British intelligence reported that the Wagner PPK was “almost certainly” going to reach Moscow from the territory of the Voronezh region.
The President of Russia called the actions of the Wagner mercenaries “traitable” and “a blow to Russia.”
